Help is needed with obtaining sponsors for the annual golf outing. If you know anyone that may be willing to sponsor a hole or half hole, please ask. This outing cannot be done sucessfully without a uniformed effort from everyone. If this does not occur, this may be the last year we will try to continue this outing. Contact me (608-931-2043) with any questions/concerns. In addition, we would love to see every able club member present at the outing!!!!!
I am planning on having a meeting regarding the golf outing preparations immediately following the regular club meeting in May. Please come with any ideas or if you are interested in helping out.
I'm sure they all well get fines and some jail time cause Animal cruelty charges can be pretty intense! Maybe other people will learn something now about what not to do!
FYI: 3 men were arrested in connection with deer killings. Also, the man responsible for killing the ducks in Fond Du Lac turned himself in. Its too bad that either of these instances occured but lets hope that the justice system uses these men to make an example that these types of actions are unacceptable and will not be tolerated!!!!!!
heres another one about snowmobilers killing animals... "Investigators are trying to find a snowmobiler who ran over and killed 57 mallard ducks on a river near Fond du Lac" this is starting to make me really mad!!
did you guys here what happend in wausau? Some people on sleds chased down 4 deer running 2 of them over injurying one and tieing one up too a tree 3 of the 4 died...land owner said no more sleds ever again on her land unless the people come forward who did this..It is just sick and very wrong why can't people rescept the land and the animals!! STAY ON THE TRAILS!!

ROCK COUNTY SNOWMOBILE TRAIL
Janesville...The Rock County Snowmobile Trail is now open throughout the County. Trail conditions are reported as fair with minimal snow cover. Trails will not be groomed until we get more snow.
Snowmobilers are reminded to curtail their trail activities when temperatures reach 34° and warmer. All snowmobilers are reminded to use the official trail to prevent damage to the lands the trail passes through and their equipment. PLEASE STAY ON THE MARKED TRAIL!
All owners and operators of ATV's (all-terrain vehicles) are reminded that at no time are they permitted on snowmobile trails and they are in violation of State Statutes if they do so. To snowmobile on private land, permission must be received from the individual landowner. Please remember that all snowmobiles must be registered with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
For further information or updates, contact the Rock County Parks Division at 608/757-5458 for a recorded message. On the web, you can visit www.co.rock.wi.us
We all need to remember that the laws read as follows: The trails in Rock County will open provided that there is a 4" base, the temp remains below 34 degrees and ALL funded trails are marked. Now it is correct that some landowners are not allowing the trails to be marked due to late season hunting. We need to resepect the landowners decision. If it were not for the land owners allowing us the use of their private property we would NOT have a trail system in Southern Wisconsin. Just because there is snow and some areas are marked does not make it safe or legal to ride. All it takes is a small group of people not willing to follow the rules that ruin it for everyone.
The trails can open december 1st as thats when the leases and insurance starts.
The trails are still closed because some trails arn't in(marked) and in the southern part of the county a farmer has stated that the trail through his property will be closed till hunting is done because he gets more money from the hunters than the sledders.
